A new TV series takes Polish cuisine to the next level by highlighting Polish food in its entirety. It is also a good opportunity to get to know Polish cuisine, taste the dishes of local restaurants and have fun with a small group.

Food prices in restaurants are not as high as in Western European countries, but in Katowice you can find them at a much lower price than in other parts of the country.

Polish salt, which comes from the famous mines of Wieliczka Bochnia in Krakow, we always have. This soup is considered the Polish national dish and is therefore a very integral part of our culture. It is said to be a favourite of King Jogaila of Poland and is popular throughout the country, although it is not only available in Poland (similar recipes are available in neighbouring Ukraine, Belarus and Germany).

This dish can definitely be considered one of the most popular dishes in Krakow and many other parts of Poland. Most of them, however, are dishes eaten by ordinary people and are today associated with the popular traditions of Poland. It owes its great Polish flavour to a minority that lived in Poland for centuries, such as Poles, Poles and Ukrainians.

When I asked someone where I could get decent Polish food, I was told to skip Zapiekanka and try real Silesian food in Zurownia. Almost every Polish Bigo recipe I found contained tomato paste as if it were a winter dish, but there were no fresh tomatoes.

When I ordered a meal for the day in a cheap bar or restaurant, I got one of the many Polish soups. If you're looking for a creamy soup, Poland is not the place for you, as it's rather chunky - pearl-shaped, almost traditional.

The Polish cuisine is very meat-oriented, I love to play with it and make vegan variations of traditional dishes. The more meats, the better the Bigo, and the more you have to behave to have it.
